Military Family Resources

The entire Bishop CISD community extends a warm and heartfelt welcome to our Military Families. We are honored to have you join our schools and become part of our close-knit family.

We recognize and appreciate the sacrifices that you make as members of the military, dedicating your lives to protecting and serving our country. Your commitment and bravery are truly inspiring, and we are deeply grateful for your service.

At Bishop CISD, we strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all students and families, including those from military backgrounds. We understand the unique challenges and transitions that military families face, and we are here to offer our unwavering support every step of the way.

Our schools are not just places of learning; they are vibrant communities where every student is valued and respected. We encourage open communication and collaboration between parents, teachers, and staff to ensure the success and well-being of each and every child. Our dedicated staff is committed to providing an exceptional educational experience, tailored to meet the individual needs and aspirations of each student.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice. We are here for you, and we are excited to embark on this educational journey together.

The Purple Star Campus Designation recognizes Texas district and charter schools that show their support and commitment to meeting the unique needs of military-connected students and their families.

This special honor was created by the 86th Texas Legislature through SB 1557 and further described in agency rule (19 TAC, § 61.1063), effective April 9, 2020.

Bishop Elementary was awarded the Purple Star campus designation in the 2023-2024 school year, after meeting the criteria. At Bishop CISD, we are proud to demonstrate our support and are fully committed to meeting the unique needs of our military-connected students and their families throughout the school year. Our students participate in activities all year, with a focus in April during Month of the Military Child.
