2026 Purple UP!
April is designated as the Month of the Military Child, which highlights the important role military children play in the armed forces community. This event recognizes that military kids serve our country too, as part of a military family … not just in April, but all year long. These amazing kids face challenges and enjoy triumphs along the way, and while no military child’s journey is the same, they each have a through-line that connects them by experience, globally. This month is our opportunity to celebrate their strength, courage, and resilience and show our deep appreciation for their sacrifices.”
Bishop CISD takes pride in working with our military families and NAS Kingsville to support the students academically, socially, and emotionally during their time in our district. We will celebrate throughout the month with various activities at each campus and involve our local military base, NAS Kingsville. We will have a districtwide Purple Up Day this month on April 30th, so dress in PURPLE to show your support for our military children. Please help us to recognize our military children, celebrate their global perspectives, and nurture the connections that help build a strong community.
