All students at Bishop Elementary are required Texas requiremets to complete English & Language Langauge Reading Class, Math Class, Science, and Social Studies lass in 3rd, 4th, & 5th grades. Students will also have PE, and enrich classes like Art and Computre lab.

Gifted & Talented
Bishop Elementary provides opportunities for students to be evaluated for the Gifted & Talented (G/T) Program twice each school year. Fall testing is available for students who are new to the district, while Spring testing is conducted through teacher referral or parent request.
If your child has already been identified as Gifted & Talented at a previous school, or if you would like your child to be considered for G/T services, please contact the school counselor. The counselor oversees the G/T program at the campus level and can assist with obtaining the necessary records from a previous school to verify eligibility or guide families through the referral and testing process. We are committed to ensuring that all students with gifted potential have access to appropriate educational opportunities and support.

Bishop Elementary is committed to meeting the individual needs of all learners and ensuring that every student has access to a high-quality education. Through Bishop CISD's Special Education Department, eligible students receive specialized instruction, accommodations, and support services designed to help them reach their full potential. We value collaboration among families, teachers, and support staff to create learning environments where students can succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Interstate Compact for Military Families
The Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children helps ensure a smooth transition for military-connected students as they move between school districts and states. The Compact addresses enrollment, records transfers, course placement, program eligibility, extracurricular participation, and graduation requirements to help minimize educational disruptions for military families.
